Editor’s Note:  I am not the “I” in this story.  It is just a great story…

MY LAST TRIP TO COSTCO

Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog
chow for my loyal pet, Bean, the Wonder Dog, and was in the check-out
line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had an elephant? So because I’m retired and have
little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn’t have a dog, I
was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn’t,
because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I’d lost 50
pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming
out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and that the way
that it works is, to load your pants pockets with Purina Nuggets and
simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is
nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it
again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was
now enthralled with my story.)

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care, because the dog
food poisoned me.  I told her No, I stepped off a curb to sniff a
Poodle’s butt and a car hit me.

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was
laughing so hard.

Costco won’t let me shop there anymore.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Better watch what you ask retired people. They
have all the time in the World to think of crazy things to say.

If you are an “expert” at something others will want to know about or if you are a professional speaker as I am, you can cruise ships will hire you to present your expertise in exchange for the full cruise.  You an even bring a “friend” or significant other for free.  I have done it and you can too!  I learned how – and I mean all the details including who to call and write, what to say, who hires when and what topics are the most sought after on board.  It is well worth it.  I made contacts on board who gave me new business, bought my book by the case and are still clients today.  I also enjoyed all the on-board fun – the spa – the restaurants – the entertainment – even the on-land excursions.  I only spoke for an hour each day.

Try it out!  If you want to cruise to exotic destinations and market yourself at the same time, speaking on cruise ships is the way to go.  Click here for more information.

I spend a lot of time at my desk working on my computer – I bet you do too.  My back and shoulders have been paying the price.

Dr. Naomi Abrams

In order to better situate my desk and my office and my car, so I won’t get so sore using them, I hired Naomi Abrams – an Ergonomic Specialist and owner of Worksite Health & Safety.

I highly recommend that you hire Naomi if your back and shoulders are hurting or if your employees are suffering.  You will thank her (and me)!
